Cedar Springs Public Schools assesses student achievement and needs in subject areas to determine the academic readiness and learning progress of students and to assist them in attaining the skills needed for post secondary success.

This assessment is designed to:
  • evaluate student knowledge and skills relative to a specific set of academic goals
  • inform decisions at the classroom level
  • reported beyond the classroom
  • predict a student's ability to succeed on large-scale summative assessment
  • evaluate a particular educational program
  • diagnose gaps in student learning
