Educational Partners
It is the goal of the Cedar Springs Public Schools Board of Education to support and encourage community interest in our schools in order to increase student achievement.
As a part of that goal we have been reaching out to develop a variety of school/community partnerships.
KSSN
The Kent Schools Services Network is partnering with Cedar Springs Public Schools to promote and encourage positive student attendance. The goal of the partnership is to become a fully developed community school utilizing the strengths and resources of the community to reduce barriers to education. Click here to learn more.
Goodwill/Beach Picnic Basket Partners
Our regional R1TS I and III programs are partnering with Goodwill and The Beach Picnic Basket.
R1TS students learn valuable on the job work training and our community gets the benefit of having a local based place to buy reasonable clothing and household goods.
The Beach Picnic Basket provides training in job skills to our R1TS students and evening meals to kids in need.
This is a win-win situation for our kids and for the non-profit agencies they help support.
Cedar Springs Area Parks and Recreation
Cedar Springs Public Schools and the Cedar Springs Area Parks and Recreation (CSAPR) have partnered to provide greater services and support to our students and community.
En-Gedi
En-Gedi Youth Center provides mentoring, tutoring, and a safe place to hang out and have a relationship with caring adults that will help them grow to be the best that they can be.
