Enrolling Your K-12 Student

NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT:

Cedar Springs Public Schools participates in both the Kent Intermediate School District and the 105c Schools of Choice State plans. Applications are available at the District Office. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Carrie Duddles at (616)-696-1204 x1004.

Kent ISD Schools of Choice Plan
Cedar Springs Public Schools will have 55 schools of choice openings.

Families residing within the Kent ISD, but not a resident of the Cedar Springs School District may apply for enrollment by requesting a Kent ISD Schools of Choice application form their resident district or choice district during the application period, April 9-June 1. Applications will not be accepted until the first day of the application window.

105c Schools of Choice Plan
Students who reside in a district which borders the Kent ISD, may apply under the Schools of Choice 105c plan during the appication period, April 15 - May 15. Cedar Springs Public Schools will have limited positions available. Applications will not be accepted until the first day of the application window.

Cedar Springs Public Schools will have 350 Schools of Choice 105c openings.

Process for Registration:
1. Pre-register your K-12 Student online by clicking the link below.
For preschool registration,call Cedar Trails Elementary @ 616-696-9884

2. At the end of the pre-registration process you will be asked to choose an appointment time to meet with the Registrar to complete your registration. If no appointment times are available, please call 696-7317 or email the Registrar at Susan.andrzejewski@csredhawks.org.

You must bring with you:

• Students ORIGINAL Birth Certificate

• Proof of Residency 
        Accepted Proof of Residency documents:  utility bill, rent receipt, property tax statement, voter registration
         Non-Accepted Proof of Residency documents:  bank stmt., insurance stmt., subscription or cell phone bill

• UP-TO-DATE immunization records.  Click here for the required immunizations to begin school.

• Parent/guardian picture ID. Can be Driver's License or State ID

Students will not be admitted until all of the above requirements have been met.

 

3. The Central Registrar will set up an appointment to meet with the school personnel to complete the student's enrollment into classes.
