MSDS apply to everyone!  Administrators, Teachers, Secretaries, Aides, Food Service workers, Coaches, Custodians, Mechanics, Bus Drivers, Maintenance workers and Volunteers!  The one group that it does not apply to is the students, although they are helpful in case of an emergency.  These sheets are designed to protect staff from using chemicals improperly.

MSDS sheets are not required if the item can be readily purchased in stores such as, Meijer, Office Max, Family Fare, etc.

This is a very serious issue.  We can be fined greatly by MIOSHA if we are inspected and do not have the proper MSDS on file for products.  We can also be fined if you do not know where to find a MSDS in your building.  The MSDS are located in a green binder in each building.
