Cedar Springs Public Schools

Purpose. Potential. Pride.
The Cedar Springs High School Athletic Hall of Fame was created in 2019 by the Athletic Leadership Council to honor former athletes, coaches, administrators, volunteers, and supporters for outstanding achievement.

These are the ones who helped, continue to help, bring pride, honor, and respect to Cedar Springs High School Athletics. The honor of being inducted into the Hall of Fame will allow long-term recognition for their commitment to Red Hawk athletics.

  1. The current CSHS Athletic Director
  2. CSHS Building Administrator
  3. Retired or former CSPS Administrator

  5. Retired or former CSHS coach

  8. Current or former CSHS athletic booster member

All Board Members are appointed by the CSHS Athletic Director and/or Principal and serve a two-year term initially.

Nomination Process

  • Board Members meet, after the nominating deadline
  • Nomination forms are made available to Board Members prior to the meeting for their review.
  • Each Board Member has one vote
  • In order for a nominee to be granted admission into the Cedar Springs High School Hall of Fame they must receive a number of votes that are equal to, or greater than, 75% of the vote by the Board Members.
  • Nominations will be discussed in an alphabetical, or chronological, order as determined by the Hall of Fame chairman.

The voting outcome will be shared with Board Members only. If, in the opinion of the Board Members (as evidenced by a failure to obtain at least 75% mentioned above), no nominee in a particular year is worthy of election, so be it; it is not necessary to induct new members every year.
