Red Hawks Care
Red Hawks Care is a collaboration between Cedar Springs Public Schools and Pine Rest and is available to all students and staff.
Red Hawks Care is a school assistance program that includes:
- 3 sessions of free, confidential* counseling per episode of care
- Psychiatric Urgent Care Center services for ages 18+
- 24/7 hotline for crisis calls
- Free 30-minute legal consultation
- Free 30-minute financial consultation
- Free elder care consultation
- Personal Advantage online library access
- All benefits are available to staff, students, and members of their household
*The school is NOT notified when SAP services are accessed and the school receives no identifying information.

Cedar Springs Public Schools know home life can create an effect on a student’s overall school performance. Sometimes there are moments in life where families find themselves needing additional support.
The following resources are available to our students, family, and community.

Arbor Circle is proud to be one of West Michigan’s most comprehensive providers of mental health counseling, substance use treatment, and family services. Visit the Arbor Circle website for more information on programs, events, and how to get involved.
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services provides Cash Assistance, Child Care Assistance, Emergency Relief (Home, Utilities), Children’s Special Health Care Services, Food Assistance, Health Care, and more. Visit the MDHHS website to learn more.
School counselors are provided throughout the Cedar Springs Public School district and make themselves available to listen to students about concerns. Check at your child’s building to learn more about what services are available.
